Sodium lamp
- Sodium lamp refers to a lighting device that uses metallic sodium vapor as a working substance, and is a type of gas discharge lamp. Sodium lamps are also filled with mercury and rare gases, but what actually works is sodium vapor. Sodium is ionized and excited to emit yellow light at 589 nm, which is used directly for illumination, rather than the white visible light that excites fluorescent substances like fluorescent lamps.
- High-power ( ≥ 250W ) street lamps: high-pressure sodium lamps have high efficiency, considering three factors, such as ballast loss, lamp efficiency and optical channel utilization. Lm/W.
- Low-power ( ≤ 150W ) street lamps: the effective luminous efficacy of sodium lamps ( including the overall efficiency of 0.55 ) is about 45 ~ 55 Lm/W.
